A Minimalist Moves To The Country + FREE PDF 7 RULES FOR WARDROBE DECLUTTERING
You may not know it, but a big part of the plan was to move to the country.
On a subconscious level, the plan has always been to be movable.
One of my oldest childhood memories is taking a red tote bag and packing it full of my essentials, ready to go on an adventure. This was a long time ago, in the 80s.
When I decided I was going to pave my way in life with minimalist chat, I also decided I was finally going to set myself free, and become properly movable.
If you have somehow arrived here by accident, I have a YouTube channel where I have chronicled this whole process. To understand the details, do check it out.
Here is my philosophy on the things that I own.
I want every item to have at least one good purpose, but ideally more than one good purpose.
I want every item I own to be of good quality.
I want every item I own to be something beautiful that I love.
I want every item I own to be light enough for me to carry, and small enough to fit in my car.
I am currently renting a beautiful room from some beautiful friends. This is a temporary fix, but here are some images of it nevertheless.
Obviously with all this movability, my wardrobe took a hit. I had to say goodbye to some old favourites, which, while beautiful, were not going to suit me in my new life.
I have created a free downloadable PDF which I designed to help you declutter your wardrobe, though to be honest, you could use it to declutter just about anything.
I cannot be sure how long I will stay in Margaret River. I am sure that now that I can work from anywhere in the world, I will be taking advantage of my movability over the next few years.
Where do I want to go?
Everywhere.
